The International Summer Law School will be organized within the framework of cooperation between two Universities-partners: Law Institute of Irkutsk State University (Russia) and Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznan, Poland).

Thå Law Institute of Irkutsk State University is one of the oldest legal schools in the Russian Federation and performs as a leader of the legal education in Eastern Siberia. For the 85-year-old history the institute has prepared ten thousand experts in the legal sphere who work today in public authorities, law-enforcement, judicial bodies, legal profession, customs, tax departments, legal firms and services. Today Law Institute of Irkutsk State University is a prestigious educational institution in which preparation of highly professional experts in the field of law takes place. Law Institute forms the legal elite of modern Russia.

AMU is one of the largest academic centers in Poland. The University currently employs nearly 3,000 teaching staff, including 301 full professors, 373 AMU professors and 897 senior lecturers. A smooth daily functioning of the University rests in the hands of about 2,000 administrative and technical staff members.

 

The University serves 52,000 students with 14 faculties offering BA, MA and PhD programmes. Students can choose from 190 majors. Among most popular degree courses are psychology, biotechnology, tourism, and political science. The newest programmes include film studies, sound editing, ethnolinguistics, social communication, protection of cultural heritage, and hydrobiology.
